Challenging but fun |

I found the kit engineering interesting & different from most models I've built. "Partial shell" parts combine to build the full figure. For example, the "shirt" is a partial front closing off the lab coat. Therefore part alignment is critical, increasing the kit's difficulty inspite of a low parts count. The builder must also use imagination w/ the construction sequence as the instructions are pretty basic. One nice aspect is the plastic allows for detail carving, like thinning out the collars, scribing hair and opening up pockets. The rat esp. looks good w/ a thinned tail & engraved hair but the base wood grain is overdone-used CA glue to coat, then sanded to generate "dust", then recoated/ sanded 4/ 5 times. Two dings were a hollow head & awkward left arm pose. Scrap sheet plastic used for teeth & tongue but still working on arm-may just cut apart & re-assemble? Overall, not a beginner's kit-might get frustrated w/ tricky shell assembly-but still like it for challenges & coolness.

back in '07, I never imagined that Dr. Jekyll as Mr. Hyde would reappear back on the model circuit after a 30+ year hiatus. But seeing the kit again, and already building figure kits again. Thanks, and a huge thanks fo producing the Invisible Man kit, goes perfectly well with my other Aurora monster kits.
